The Humber Modern Slavery Partnership, along with Humberside Police, are organising a Modern Slavery Response day to be held on Friday 18th October.
The event coincides with International Anti-Slavery Day and will be made up of two useful and important parts. The day will begin with a table top exercise which will run through an example case of modern slavery occurring in Humberside. This will give partners the chance to work together to identify potential gaps in provision and generate a joined up approach in order to provide the best possible response and care to potential victims.
The second part of the day will be police led, providing a briefing to partners on the current profile of modern slavery in the Humberside region. From this, police will be asking partners for intelligence they may hold on specific cases in order to improve police responses, prevention and prosecution of modern slavery crimes in our area.
This event is by invitation only. Contact Andrew Smith A.Smith9@hull.ac.uk for more details
