LMSL

London Modern slavery leads network

The Foundation coordinates the London Modern Slavery Leads (LMSL) Network, consisting of representatives from each of the 32 London boroughs, the City of London corporation, as well as Clinical Commissioning Groups (CCGs) and select partners from across the capital.

The LMSL Network provides an opportunity for all members to come together, share best practice, and raise trends or challenges they have identified in their borough. These are then addressed collectively.

Local authority members may be in designated anti-slavery roles, or are often professionals working in Adult Social Care, Children’s Services, Community Safety or Environmental Health and Licensing. The Metropolitan Police Central Specialist Crime Team for Modern Slavery, London Councils, the Mayor’s Office for Police and Crime (MOPAC), the Office of the Independent Anti-Slavery Commissioner, and the Local Government Association are also members.

The LMSL quarterly meetings provides a platform for a range of statutory and non-statutory partners to share updates and gather feedback from the network. Speakers have included various charities, such as The Children’s Society and Hestia, the Home Office and the Independent Anti-Slavery Commissioner.

If you would like to join the London Modern Slavery Leads Network, or speak at a quarterly meeting, please contact robyn@humantraffickingfoundation.org

For those working in statutory authorities in London, please contact Robyn to receive a regular e-newsletter with information on new services, data and legislation.
